A 20 Cool Ways To Say "I Love You"

by Jason Hahn

Yes, flowers and chocolates are a nice touch. But if you really want to make a statement, try these off-beat gestures!

10 Rules For Him
1. Tell her that she looks super-amazing. Even if she does look a tad bloated and a mess.
2. Spring clean her entire wardrobe and rearrange all her shoes and lingerie. She'll really love that.
3. Have nothing but nice things to say about her girlfriends. Especially the ones you loathe.
4. One weekend, take a picture of the two of you every hour, on the hour - wherever she happens to be, even if she's in the bathroom - and make a photo album of that.
5. Present her with a year's subscription of her three fave magazines. To spice things up, include a regular issue of skin-art mag, Tattoo.
6. Whenever the topic of visiting her parents comes up, resist the urge to run screaming from the room. Sit tight, smile and make plans for an emergency office meeting.
7. Make her a mixed CD of love songs by decibel-busting rockers Megadeth and Black Sabbath.
8. Leave the toilet seat down.
9. Go shopping with her. Without complaining.
10. But seriously, just saying " I love You " is always cool.

10 Rules For Her
1. Every guys loves a homecooked meal now and then. Nothing says, " I love You" more. If you can't cook, cater, but hide the evidence. He'll never know.
2. Leave the toilet seat up.
3. Whenever the topic of his ex-girlfriends comes up, resist the urge to run screaming from the room. Sit tight, smile and make plans to meet up with your girlfriends for a moan session.
4. Know that you're never going to like all his friends, and be cool with that.
5. Get him season tickets to his favourite sports team. And if it's synchronized swimming, learn to look the other way.
6. If you really love him, then never ask him "Do I look fat in this?" Ever.
7. Learn to slow dance with him. And then dance every day. Even down the supermarket aisle.
8. Every so often, sit through a sports game with him. Without complaining.
9. Every anniversary, make him a CD of images and voice-overs that remember the year's highlights with him. If there are no highlights, rent Meet the Fockers instead.
10. But seriously, just always being there is pretty cool.
