There's a secret smile I wear
upon my face when you're not there.
It echoes of a time when you
placed it there for all to view.

A memory of some time gone by
when something funny crossed your mind
and, knowing how we think the same,
to my side you quickly came
to share your thoughts or just your view
on anything that came to you.

I love the sharing, you must know,
for that's what helped our love to grow
